Project Engineer (ref PE02)

We are seeking a project engineer to initially work as an assistant to the project manager to work on multiple water control gate design and supply contracts in the UK and overseas. The role will include design office work, site and workshop visits/inspections and customer liaison. The role may require travel abroad for periods of up to one month depending on the location of the projects.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have a good first degree in an engineering discipline (preferably civil or mechanical).
  • Have at least two years’ experience of working on multi-discipline projects from design to completion.
  • Have a good balance of practical and design office experience.
  • Be proficient in using Autocad or other CAD software.
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Be ambitious, self-motivated and an excellent communicator.
  • Have an interest in travel and working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of a second European language could be an advantage.

CAD Technician (ref CT01)

Role description and responsibilities

Role requires you to provide the primary AutoCAD expertise in the office, with responsibility for drawing preparation
and review, advising others on use of AutoCAD and draughting best practice, assisting the management team in developing draughting procedures.

There will also be requirements to assist with other areas of the company’s activities.

Activities shall be conducted in accordance with the company’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems and the
company’s Health and Safety policy and requirements

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality Manager located in Folkestone. The role
involves managing purchasing activities, overseeing logistics to ensure the timely delivery of materials and products,
and maintaining quality control standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, ensuring
compliance with industry standards, and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency.

Project Manager (ref PM01)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage a small team of project engineers and to be ultimately
responsible for the design, supply, installation and performance of a number of rubber dams for a large hydropower
project in Turkey. The position will be based either in our head office in Folkestone or on the project site in Turkey
or a combination of the two but frequent overseas travel will be required to liaise with the customer, monitor site work
and to possibly inspect and test the quality of purchased components.

The successful candidate will;

  • Be a chartered civil or mechanical engineer with at least 10 years’ experience of managing multi-discipline
    projects from design to completion
  • Have experience of managing and mentoring a small team of engineers
  • Have a good balance of practical and design office experience
  • Be ambitious, self-motivated and an excellent communicator
  • Have an interest in travel and working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Preferably be fluent in or have an ability to speak or communicate in Turkish as well as a working knowledge of
    oral and written English

Site-based Project Engineer (ref PE01)

a large hydropower project in Turkey. The position is based at the project location and will, initially, be for a period
of two years.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have a good engineering degree
  • Preferably be a newly chartered civil or mechanical engineer or nearing chartered status
  • Have at least 6 years’ experience of managing multi-discipline projects from design to completion
  • Have a good balance of practical and design office experience
  • Be proficient with Autocad
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be ambitious, self-motivated and an excellent communicator
  • Have an interest in travel and working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Preferably be fluent in or have an ability to speak or communicate in Turkish as well as a working knowledge of

Site-based Installation Supervisor (ref IS01)

We are seeking an experienced on-site Installation Supervisor to work with the Dyrhoff project engineer and the
installation contractor to supervise the installation of a number of rubber dams for a large hydropower project in
Turkey. The position will be based on site at the project location in Turkey and will be for an initial period of around
18 months duration.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have at least 10 years’ experience of multi-discipline, on-site installation work, preferably in an overseas
    environment
  • Be quick to learn, practical and adaptable
  • Have good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to follow technical manuals and engineering drawings and relay instructions to site personnel
  • Be fully conversant with on-site health and safety procedures and safe working practices
  • Be fluent in or have an ability to speak or communicate in Turkish as well as having good oral and written
  • English language skills.

QC/QA Inspector (ref QC01)

We are seeking an experienced QC/QA Inspector to conduct factory inspections at our suppliers’ premises in China, to
witness QC tests on product samples and to prepare QC test reports. The position is based in China and will, initially,
be for a period of around 18 months duration.

The successful candidate will;

    • Have at least five years’ experience of working in a similar QC/QA role preferably within the rubber industry
    • Have the right to live and work in China, preferably in Shandong Province.
    • Be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English and be
      comfortable and proficient in writing reports in the English language.
    • Have a good knowledge of the ISO9001 quality management system and standard international QC procedures
    • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
    • Be ambitious, self-motivated and an excellent communicator
  • Have an interest in travel and working in a multi-cultural environment

Shipping Co-ordinator (ref SC01)

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Co-ordinator to organise the delivery of rubber dam components from supplier
factories in China and Europe to a project location in Turkey. The position may be based in Turkey or at the Dyrhoff
head office in Folkestone, UK or alternate between the two. The role will involve organising and tracking shipments,
liaising with freight forwarders, preparing shipping documents and co-ordinating delivery of shipments to a storage
facility or site in Turkey. The position will, initially, be for a period of around 18 months duration.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have a good knowledge of international shipping procedures, terminology and documentation
  • Have experience of stock control and warehouse best practice
  • Be willing to assist in loading, unloading and stock movement
  • Have excellent organisational skills and show attention to detail
  • Have a personable manner and be a good communicator
  • Show initiative, enthusiasm and self-motivation
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment
  • Have good IT, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
