Sales Engineer/Manager

Dyrhoff Ltd is looking for an ambitious, self-motivated sales engineer/manager to sell flood defence and water control products worldwide. The candidate should have a technical background, should be a good written and oral communicator and should, in normal circumstances, enjoy travelling and meeting people. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of a second language.

The role will involve preparing budgetary quotations and tenders for supply contracts up to £2 million in value, negotiating contracts, liaising with customers, preparing marketing materials and, eventually, attending exhibitions and making sales presentations to potential customers and engineering consultants.

Previous experience in sales is not strictly necessary but would be preferred. The candidate may initially be working from home or from our office in Folkestone until international travel is once again permitted. At this time, flexibility to undertake frequent trips abroad is essential as well as an ability to work independently and under pressure to strict deadlines.

Project Engineer/Manager

Dyrhoff Ltd. is always looking for experienced and qualified graduate engineers to manage multiple water control gate design and supply contracts up to a value of £1 million each from contract award to commissioning. The role will include design office work, site and workshop visits/inspections, where permitted, and customer liaison. The role, in normal times, may require frequent travel abroad for periods of up to one month depending on the location of the projects. The candidate should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team. He/she should be fully conversant with Mathcad and Autodesk products such as Autocad or Inventor or other similar CAD software. The company is ISO9001 and 14001 certified so familiarity with these quality management systems would be preferred. Knowledge of a second European language could be an advantage.

The successful candidate will;

Have a good first degree in an engineering discipline with at least 5 years’ experience of working in an engineering environment.
Have a good balance of practical and design office experience.
Be ambitious, self-motivated and an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Have an interest in travel and working in a multi-cultural environment.
Be a UK resident or able to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
